the last three weeks

So sadly a few weeks ago my contract got terminated as the family no lomger wanted me to work with them any longer, I was really quite upset about it,  as I didnt think that was going to happen at all,
I was then worried about what I should do next contacted both the agencies I was apart of and neither one of them were helpful at all im fact I never heard from the New Zealand agency until  a week after I emailed them and all I got was the excat same thing, no families were avaliable in germany dont think they really looked, and becaiee I said I would like to stay in berlin, that I should look into finding other jobs to do working with children where I can speak english, or I look for a family myself which I has started doing,  found a different place to search for another host family that seems to work so much better than the agencies,  which I will never go with ever again, after being let down by them in regard into wanting some actual helpso I looked for families in Germany,  UK, Austria and also Nederlands I wasnt ready to give up, and I actually had much more contact with families than I ever did before which was amazing, I have now Happily found myself a new family that live in Brighton in the UK so excited now after it has been a very stressful, frustrating few weeks

I have now been here six weeks

It feels like I have actually been here in Berlin for a whole lot longer than six weeks but really it hasn't I have done sooo much already,  imnow a total pro at the ttransportian around the city I am slowly discovering more and more of Berlin, I havent been hit with homesickness just yet, but I suppose that it well come soon
I think I have fallen in love with berlin it is such a stunning city I dont want to leave, meet so far  two other Au Pairs can not wait until I meet the others,  I have had my first german beer, Berliner Bier is quite good, I have been outside of berlin a couple of times one to a place called Kienitz which I just fell in love with, it is such a cute little town/village down by the water front of the river Oder had a very yummy schnitzel there as well in a mushroom sauce and I usually dont mushrooms,  and the second place was to a small town called Battin it was a cute small tiny town, we past through poland a wee bit
It has been a busy few weeks but going steadly so far

SANDEMANs New berlin tours

The tours that this company run in berlin are just soooooooo amazing the tour guides are fantastic with so much information and history that they give you through out the whole of the tour I have so far been on 5 since I have been here, I first went om the third reich tour which was super, Sadie was the tour guide for this tour, I loved the way she gave to tour by splitting it into 3 parts, the first was of the different memorials to the different people effected during the third reich,  the second part looked at the 4 major leaders and lastly was the old Jewish Quarter of Berlin.
The second tour was the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp memorial tour, this was another really great tour, with just so much information about every aspect of the camp from the begining until it was liberated,  the tour guide for this was Rob from Manchester another great tour guide.
Third tour I finally decided to do the free walking tour and on this tour we went around to some of the great sites around berlin, loved this tour so much  history was given, the tour guide for this was called George, awesome guide.
For the fourth tour  this was the Red Berlin tour,  this was great has you had a look at east germany that was being run by the soviets at the time, how they lived and so on, looked at how the wall come about and ended the tour at the east side gallery longest remaining part of the wall tour guide was brilliant as well called Lewis.
And lastly the last tour I did was with Leen she was quite super as well as a tour guide, the tour I did with her was the Alternative city tour it was awesome going around looking at all the different street art, and so much more

These tours are just fantastic and im going to do the other tours that are left aswell :)
